About the role

As a Logistics Team Leader you will be responsible for the supply chain operations and provide an efficient and effective service to all charity shops that are partnered with Wob through driver and contractor management.

The role involves managing the day-to-day delivery logistics, Yard & Bay management, ensuring compliance with all road safety legislation for Wob drivers and meeting delivery and collection targets for the appropriate region.

Key Accountabilities
Shop collections and shop liaison support line

Ensure all vehicles are attended to, such as logging vehicles on the grid and ensuring they are tipped and able to leave site in a reasonable time with all relevant information/paperwork completed.
Resolving issues with shop collections within 48hours SLA (including Max Optra & HubSpot)
Answer & manage all queries in a timely and effective manner (from Wob & Contract drivers and 3rd party logistics provider)
Turnaround of responses to all emails in a timely and efficient manner
Create route plans and sending these to the relevant person(s) ( Wob & Contractor drivers)
Arrange and manage vehicle repairs, recoveries, services etc.
Log and palletise inbound online totes (boxes) for distribution to hubs
Manage day today activities of Wob drivers, ensuring policies and procedures followed and KPI's are achieved.

Reporting

Responsible to ensure weights from assigned areas/drivers are recorded accurately on our systems (Max Optra compliance)
Responsible to ensure haulage weights and contents are logged accurately in opening, live and closing assets counts
Ensure asset count for assigned area(s) and reporting are completed
Responsible for vehicle checks for relevant area(s) and report issues to Fleet and Transport Manager and Vehicle lease company.
Responsible to ensure fuel cards are assigned and logged accordingly
Responsible to ensure the weighing of trailers are completed and inbound stock is accurately recorded
Compiling and presenting reporting for the Managment
All payment issues to be resolved as soon as possible and for customers to be informed of progress at all times.

In addition to the above:
Conduct site visits to Wob/contractor Hubs
Manage and build the driver relationships
Tote monitoring file to maintained and up to date
Manage resource, client and contract relationships
Manage issues that arise through to resolution
Ensure Wob drivers are compliant with legislation and best practice (vehicle checks, working hours)
Support drivers to achieve planned deliveries, collections and SLA's
Contribute towards the reduction of Co2 emissions and promote environmental thinking as part of best practice.

Other Requirements

This role is predominantly based in Coventry but will be required to support across both warehouse and transport hubs sites, therefore there may occasionally be a need to travel to other sites to support other functions
Undertake any other duties that commensurate with this role

Qualification & Experience
Proven and successful experience as a logistics lead or supply chain manager preferred D
Experience of logistics software E
Qualification in Maths and English or equivalent qualification E
Proficient in Microsoft office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook E
Knowledge of safety standards, regulations, laws, and policies regarding logistics D
