As the UK Marketing Business Partner, you will be crucial in shaping and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with our local business goals while leveraging global marketing assets. From developing impactful campaigns to coordinating events and managing media relations, you will have the opportunity to drive the success of Devoteam in the UK market.

This is a hands-on role, working with a new Group Marketing operating model. You will work collaboratively with internal agencies and a local Marketing Manager to define, manage, and execute Marketing plans. You will also be responsible for the local delivery of Group initiatives and events. The need to respond to market opportunities and events quickly means we want this person to be in the office 4 days per week, certainly whilst they become established in the UK business and build the necessary relationships with the team which includes the Managing Director, sales teams and line of business heads.

Main Tasks:

  • Marketing Strategy and Planning: Developing comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with local business goals and leveraging global marketing assets. This includes establishing and managing the local marketing budget, implementing local tactics, identifying local channels to integrate into campaigns, and continuously evaluating performance metrics to optimise campaigns and ensure maximum ROI. Alignment with internal stakeholders is crucial to ensure that strategies are well-integrated with overall business objectives and effectively support organisational goals.

  • Marketing Coordination: Plan, manage, coordinate, and execute the production of local marketing assets, including but not limited to print materials, digital content, and promotional items. Lead the planning and execution of multiple marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall marketing strategies and business objectives.

  • Event Management: Focus on coordinating and implementing various events, including self-hosted business and recruitment events, presence at sponsorship events, and setting up targeted events to support sales activities or strengthen customer relationships.

  • Local PR and Media Relations Management: Develop and execute strategies to cultivate relationships with local media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Coordinate press releases, media pitches, and interview opportunities to generate positive coverage and enhance brand visibility within the local market.

  • Local Media Buying and Advertising: Strategize and execute local media buying efforts, focusing on advertising opportunities tailored to the UK's market dynamics. This includes identifying relevant publications, outdoor advertising opportunities, and other media platforms to effectively reach target audiences and maximise brand exposure.

  • Campaign Localisation: Lead the localisation of global marketing campaigns to ensure relevance and effectiveness in the local market. Work closely with the global marketing teams to adapt messaging, imagery, and tactics to align with local preferences and cultural nuances. Oversee the effective implementation of these campaigns, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners to maximise impact and engagement within the local market.

  • Local Partnership Management: Foster collaborative relationships with strategic IT partners and vendors to mutually define and implement impactful marketing tactics. This includes co-hosting events, sharing resources, and leveraging each other's networks to enhance brand visibility and drive business growth.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment and Strategic Input: Collaborate with other marketing directors within the organisation to align on overall marketing strategies and share insights on local business context and goals. Provide input to ensure that global marketing initiatives can be tailored to support achieving the organisation's objectives in the UK.

  • Internal Communications: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and distribute communication materials, ensuring alignment with company objectives and fostering a cohesive organisational culture.

  • Team Leadership: Act as the team lead for the UK marketing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts.

    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • 8 years of experience in marketing roles, focusing on developing and implementing B2B marketing strategies.

  • Proven track record of success in driving brand visibility, engagement, and growth through effective marketing initiatives.

  • Experience managing marketing budgets and optimising campaigns to ensure maximum impact and ROI.

  • Strong understanding of the UK tech industry and dynamics, customer behaviour, and competitive landscape.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
