Full Job Description

  • Provide Supervisory support for the Machine Shop night shift, day shift supervisor and the Production Manager, with training as necessary.

  • Assist in organising the Machine Shop resource with the MS Production Team to meet Project Requirements and completing departmental objectives.

  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, with Providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and productive work.

  • Liaise with Quality Assurance personnel to progress toward project completion

  • Management of project timeline requirements in relation to external demands

  • Report on Departmental Issues to Management

  • Ensure all Process flows and Process card procedures and information is in conformance with QA and Project Administration requirements.

  • Assist with maintaining the Machine Shop as a clean and safe working environment

  • Supports all company and department activities associated with meeting the goal in the Presidents Message

  • Adopts and practices Kaizen principles and concepts, participates in continuous improvement and GEAR activities.

  • Follows all general procedures as indicated in the General Procedures section of the Level 3 Procedures Manual.

  • Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management systems (e.


    • g. TS 16949, ISO 90012014).
  • Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.

  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    3-5 years' experience in workshop management

  • Relevant experience in Engineering

  • Shown Management and leadership skills

  • Proven track record of staff training and developing

  • Extensive knowledge of CNC machine both programming and operating Mills and Lathes

  • CAD CAM Programming experience beneficial

  • Full understand of engineer drawings, models and all relevant manufacturing techniques

  • Lean manufacturing experience

  • 5S and or Kaizen knowledge
