Full Job Description
We are looking to appoint a mechanically bias maintenance engineer at our Golborne pallet
production and repair site.
Reporting to the Maintenance supervisor, you will cover all aspects of mechanical equipment
including reactive and planned maintenance inspections, overhauling equipment, monitoring plant
conditions, reporting defects and diagnosing and repairing faults as they occur. You will team up
with our Electrically bias engineer to ensure the site runs smoothly.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Working to a high standard of Health and Safety
- Making improvements across the site to improve production output
- Attending breakdowns
- Some welding and fabrication
- Use of lathe, milling machines
- General factory mechanical maintenance
- Working with industrial automation equipment
- Site PPM's
- Mechanical thermal imaging
- Updating site Maintenance systems Shire systems
- Monitor and control spare parts needed to ensure production up time.
- Apprentice trained
- City & Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC
- Electrical knowledge
- Driving licence
- IT skills Excel/word etc
- Chain conveyors

The successful candidates should be time served or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering
discipline, previous experience within an industrial production environment. You must have the
ability to communicate in English as well as comprehend written instructions.
