Full Job Description

We are seeking a hard working individual to join our growing team as a Maintenance Technician/ production Technician.

This exciting role will give the successful applicant a varied and fulfilling role servicing and maintaining our existing sensory rooms throughout the country using the companies van and equipment. The role will involve travelling to site, to provide service/maintenance and repair of our sensory environments in schools and hospitals.

This role may also involve some overnight stays to complete 2 or 3 maintenances in one area. Accommodation and sustenance will be provided.

There will also be some assembly/manufacturing within our workshop when not on site. The work is typically a mixture of assembly, final product build and some repair work.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to site to maintain our sensory rooms while representing the company

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through maintaining our rooms to a safe and suitable standard

  • Work as part of the production team, reporting to the Production Supervisor

  • To undertake training as required to effectively perform the role

  • Promote and adhere to good housekeeping for an efficient working environment

  • Comply with all Company Health and Safety guidelines

    Knowledge of electrical/mechanical maintenance and repair work

  • Previous experience working in mechanical/electronics environment

  • Computer literacy

  • Conscientious with an eye for detail and accuracy

  • knowledge and experience of electrical components and wiring

  • Fault finding and problem solving


  • Candidate Requirements
  • Experience of maintaining electrical/mechanical equipment

  • Good customer care skills

  • Quality Care

  • Hand tool experience

  • Experience in production/maintenance/servicing and repairs

  • Willing to take on tasks as directed


  • This role is based in Stanton, Bury St Edmunds

    This position requires a full UK license and is subject to a DBS check.
