Full Job Description

As our Management Accountant, you'll assist senior management in making critical business decisions by producing and analysing key Group financial data. This is a dynamic role that offers exposure to different accounting policies and regulations by looking after our UK entity, as well as close involvement with group consolidation of accounts. You'll also closely support our annual audit and review inefficiencies and process improvements to support GWI's future growth.

The role involves preparing key month-end journal entries and reconciliations for UK entities, assisting with intercompany and transfer pricing journals, and preparing the monthly group management accounts pack, including consolidation.

Additionally, you'll work closely with the FP&A team to review actuals versus budget, provide variance analysis, support and coach the Finance Assistant on month-end tasks, and manage audit-related activities and tax tasks, such as VAT returns and P11d/PSA. The position also includes assisting with yearly R&D preparation, fortnightly cash flow reporting, ad hoc reporting for senior stakeholders, and reviewing and implementing processes and procedures as required by management.

It's also fun; shaking things up is what working for a growing company is all about. So you'll need to be flexible, comfortable with continuous change, and working in a high-tempo environment as we grow.

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. Here's what the team will be looking for:
Problem-solving, applying logic to help create solutions for new tasks that arise
Data manipulation, utilising your knowledge of Excel to pull together data sets to give insights to stakeholders
Strong interpersonal and communications skills to collaborate within Management Accounts team, the wider finance team and GWI

Equally important is attitude. We want people who think big (to make an impact), ask why (to find a better way), and show respect (to everyone, at every level, all the time). Those are our values, exemplified by our leadership team, and they're a big part of what we're looking for in you.

At GWI we're always looking for extraordinary people who thrive on making an extraordinary impact. Right now we're looking for a Management Accountant to play a key role in our Finance Team in London. If that's you, and making a difference gets you out of bed in the morning, keep reading.
