MANAGER, Data & Technology INTEGRATION - OpenMind

This role is designed to support the integrations of data and technology partnerships into our data warehousing and technology platform development activities to fuel advanced analytics & reporting solutions for our global agency network OpenMind. This is a pivotal role on the team, designed to grow our capabilities in reporting, insights and measurement in order to help our client deliver against extensive MMM and MROI activities within Europe and ensure they right data can be leveraged to help advance our clients Enterprise data strategy and initiatives.

Overview:

The OpenMind Data & Technology Integration Manager role will work closely with a variety of capability units within OpenMind as well as work closely with our offshore GDS and Technology teams to assist in driving measurable business growth for our client. Through proprietary tools, partnerships, processes and training, OpenMind delivers industry leading solutions for our client with global scale, accounting for local nuance, and effectiveness.

The Data & Technology Integration Manager will utilise their experience in data and technology to procure both data and technology from external partners to fuel our delivery of insights-based analysis, reports, and optimizations for media activation across markets.

This role will work closely with analytics leads, business intelligence leads, data analysts, data scientists and data architect to support the integration of a variety of data types such as retail data into existing & new agency solutions. The role will require an understanding of different data types that can be used to fuel insights into consumer behaviours/trends as well as the performance of media and marketing investment.

Understanding of audience, sales, promotion, media, and marketing data is required to ensure the business can derive actionable insights from the commerce warehouse is desired. An entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action and problem-solving is necessary to be successful in this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working with clients to understand measurement and reporting requirements.

  • Supporting naming convention consultancy and deployment across multiple countries and agency groups, within WPP and beyond.

  • Collecting detailed requirements to ensure fit for purpose reporting and analytics solutions.

  • Support the design of reporting solutions and business intelligence platforms by identifying opportunities for integration of media, client, and retail data sets: market share, digital shelf, retail search, programmatic commerce, and more.

  • Building enterprise level semantic models on data visualisation tools like PowerBI.

  • Working with data engineers to build the data models that form the foundation for any reporting solution.

  • Configurating API connectors to connect to and collect from a broad range of data sources and platforms.

  • Building amazing dashboards that provide clients and agency teams with the critical data they need to see every day.

  • Coming up with smarter ways to apply automation to day-to-day tasks that can be used by any team anywhere in the world.

  • Understanding of offline media data, digital performance data and competitive data

  • Stay informed on latest industry trends/innovations to uncover new data opportunities and drive new initiatives that contribute to product enhancements in line with client needs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across markets to support product development.

    Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience using analytics to drive business/marketing results. High preference towards delivering insights for a large retailer, CPG, or ecommerce business.

  • Advanced skills with all Microsoft Office applications for the creation of reports, presentations, and analyses including advanced Excel functions and formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query

  • Experience in digital media platforms (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk, Google Ads, Meta) and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).

  • Analytical thinker with a flair for data visualisation.

  • Proven experience in developing global reporting solutions with tools like PowerBI, Tableau, and Looker Data Studio.

  • Good SQL skills, familiarity with Snowflake, Azure SQL, and understanding of CI/CD pipelines.

  • Skilled in data modelling, manipulation, and third-party data management platforms (e.g., Adverity, Datorama).

  • Strong numerical skills and an ability to communicate complex data effectively.

  • Experience synthesizing disparate data sources to drive to logical, concise, and actionable conclusions.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills at all levels; ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • A self-starter attitude that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
