Full Job Description

  • leading and influencing the strategic development and daily operation of the software asset management processes and systems

  • chairing of the Software Governance Board

  • custodian of the software inventory/catalogue

  • oversight of the E2E software lifecycle (onboarding to removals)

    Shaping our approach to the full software lifecycle and being able to influence senior stakeholders is key as is having a strong proclivity for resolving complex problems and to be an expert in improving performance measurement and reporting processes.

  • Experience in a similar role at a large organisation (c30,000 employees)

  • Significant experience with Software Asset Management software and tools (such as SNOW and ServiceNow, CMDB, including data normalization to improve and maintain the quality of SAM-related data)

  • Define the data quality standards, practices for critical SAM data, and an approach to revise them to support evolving SAM strategic objectives and analysis

  • Experience in developing a SAM software full lifecycle strategy and roadmap

  • Experience of working with global stakeholders

  • Knowledge of software asset management principles, policies, and procedures with experience in streamlining processes and tools for both on-premise and SaaS/cloud environments


  • Desirables

    · Strong understanding of Software Asset Management, Release and Deployment processes

    · Working knowledge of ITIL v3 and ISO 19770

    · Experience working with desktop, VDI, server and SaaS platforms

    · Excellent project management, planning, and organisational abilities

    · Develop dashboards and reporting to support strategic decision making, cost optimisation and risk management
