Full Job Description

As Managing Editor, Reviews and Evergreens, you'll be responsible for growing, maintaining, and enhancing the evergreen content output of the site. This will require intricate knowledge of SEO tools, including Google Analytics, and the ability to work independently and with our Audience Development team to identify missing gaps and opportunities.

The role will also include the management of the gaming review vertical, including commissioning and editing reviews for key titles for the site. This will also involve working closely with the Senior Guides Co-ordinator and Video Producer for coverage of the major releases. You'll also be responsible for co-ordinating with the Entertainment Editor on TV and Movie reviews, and liaising with the Hardware Team for their review strategy.

  • A passion for - and thorough understanding of - Gaming and Entertainment.

  • Good knowledge of the key social channels, and how to use them to best amplify GR's content.

  • Experience of managing a small team of games content writers, and the passion to be able to develop their skillsets.

  • Ability to sub and write high quality engaging, relevant content.

  • Experience managing freelancers and monthly budget management.

  • A deep understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to quickly develop these skills.

  • A fantastic contacts book and good relationships with industry figures.

  • Ability to use Google Analytics to report on and inform content strategies.

  • Knowledge and experience of content management systems.

  • Able to interpret third-party data and use audience behavioral data to inform content strategy.

    This is a Hybrid role from our Bath Office, working three days from the office, two from home.
