GE's Power Conversion business, part of GE Vernova, provides electrification systems that are critical to customers' power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Ensure that contractual obligations are met on time and to budget, completion of the various packages of work during a time limited site period are achieved.

  • Management of a multi-disciplinary team of engineering and commercial staff.

  • The role will also heavily involve relationship development of the customer in question, with a view to increasing the GE order book.

  • Take the lead role on the largest, current Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA) within Marine Defence Service

  • Be the primary point of contact with customer on all matters

  • Managing the commercial, technical and quality issues

  • Creating, maintaining and driving progress against a plan

  • Ensuring that all Commercial Procedures are observed, and supporting the development of procedures and project management processes.

  • Registering, compiling, submitting and negotiating extensions of time, extras to contract and other claims as appropriate

  • Carrying out project reviews to control projects, check progress, manage cost, identify deviations from plan, detect risk and forecast future performance

  • Please note that the role may require the management of additional scopes of work as required.


  • Qualifications/Requirements
  • Minimum HNC in relevant subject or equivalent knowledge or experience.

  • Relevant level of experience in a Project Management, Commercial or Quantity Surveying role, appropriate to the position.

  • Must have a successful track record in managing customers, significant commercial issues and similar projects/contracts.

  • Able to critique a project from a financial view and carry out a thorough financial review

  • A team player who is able to work with others and mentor others. Must be dedicated, show high sense of commitment and responsibility and be able to make decisions.

  • Proactive nature is a key quality demanded

  • Ability to achieve Security Clearance at least to basic level

  • Must be willing and able to travel when required, for example to customer, supplier or job site locations.
