Mechanical Design Engineer

· The ability to perform essential engineering calculations and be familiar with analysis software (FEA) in evaluating designs;

· Collaboration with project stakeholders to address design and functionality issues whilst developing effective solutions;

· Understanding of 'Design for Manufacture' using proven techniques and principles;

· Generating & maintenance of relevant business system data (BoMs) along with maintaining control of Engineering documents via appropriate ECN processes

Ideally you will be/will have:

· An HNC/HND qualified in relevant Mechanical Engineering discipline; or equivalent.

· Hands on experience in mechanical product design;

· Experience in gear design or a similar field. Knowledge of Injection Moulding, Castings, and Forgings would also be desirable;

· Experience with Siemens NX & Team Center is highly desirable;

· The ability to work independently and as part of a team;

· Several years' experience in a similar role with an ability to deliver engineering solutions within budget and on time

Responsible to the Head of Engineering, your duties will include:

· Mechanical Design using both CAD & CAE, assessing both safety and functionality of concepts, whilst aligning with the design brief

In return for a 38.5-hour week, we can offer a competitive salary in the range of £55,100 - £60,000
