Full Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Mat to work alongside our client who specialise in installing Air Conditioning units. This will be a mobile role going round the country on various sites. Some overnight stay will be required. Applicants must be part-qualified and hold a valid CSCS card.

As a Mate, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on various mechanical systems and equipment. Your expertise in schematics, labview, GD&T, and mechanical knowledge will be essential in ensuring the proper functioning of machinery and equipment.

Duties:
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostic tests on mechanical systems and equipment
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, using your knowledge of schematics and labview
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including replacing faulty parts and components
- Utilize GD&T principles to ensure accurate assembly and alignment of mechanical systems
- Collaborate with other team members to develop solutions for complex mechanical problems
- Use MATLAB, SolidWorks, and CAD software to design and modify mechanical components
- Program logic controllers to automate processes and improve efficiency
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of mechanical failures
- Develop preventive maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including their design, operation, and maintenance
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and labview diagrams
- Familiarity with GD&T principles for accurate assembly and alignment of mechanical components
- Experience using MATLAB, SolidWorks, and CAD software for system design and modification
- Ability to program logic controllers for process automation
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
- Strong attention to detail to ensure precise repairs and maintenance tasks,

  • Plumbing: 1 year (preferred)

  • Air Conditioning: 1 year (preferred)
