Full Job Description
As a Mechanical Section Head - RSG, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will deliver high quality upkeeps to time, cost and quality that contribute to the ongoing availability of warships for the Royal Navy.
Day-to-day, you'll work within a team in the delivery of complex deep maintenance periods for the Royal Navy's T23 Frigates.
- Carry out maintenance, installations, defect rectification and fault finding/diagnosis to the auxiliary systems on board T23 Frigates during refit periods.
- Responsible for auxiliary equipment and systems, its upkeep, maintenance and operation whilst under RSG control.
- Oversee and control Health and Safety matters within your section ensuring all personnel comply and work within the company safety manual, local procedures and Devonport procedures.
- Experienced Mechanical Engineer/Technician with the relevant experience working on marine systems i.e. high/low pressure waters, black and grey water systems and test equipment.
- Experience with operating machinery.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
- HNC/ONC in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based at Devonport Royal Dockyard with occasional travel to Portsmouth.
Qualifications for the Mechanical Section Head - RSG:
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
