Full Job Description

  • Undertaking and completing tasked maintenance & diagnostic activities on an aircraft or components which may include, as appropriate, Aircraft Ground Handling, flight servicing, aircraft role changes, AD embodiments, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/or functional/system tests

  • Reviewing operational performance of aircraft components & systems. Analysing and diagnosing faults to components & assemblies, applying diagnostic skills & knowledge to effect repairs or modify equipment or suggest improvements to procedures

  • Undertaking support tasks within the Aircraft or component maintenance facility which are required to maintain compliance in accordance with KR640 (e.g. oversight checks, control of tooling / test equipment etc.)

  • Undertaking and instruct on Engineering Support System (ESS), The Typhoon Support to Forward (TSF) team support the Air Force, specifically KR640. The team are the forward facing part of the company for Typhoon, directly supporting the customer on fault diagnosis, providing operational aircraft preparations whilst liaising with the industry to problem solve customer requirements.

    Successful completion of all the EASA B1 or B2 modules (pass mark 75%) and the aircraft type specific Q course

  • Experience of working as a Supervisor and an engine ground runner

  • Managing small teams undertaking operation preparations and mechanical faults

  • Extensive knowledge of typhoon mechanical systems

  • Experience working on frontline Typhoon squadron


  • Desirable:
  • Experience in authorisations in engine ground running, APU running, ground handing and EHM engineering health monitoring
