Full Job Description

As our MI Analyst you'll be responsible for the effective delivery of data, reporting and analytics through developing end user data sources and dashboards, to allow greater levels of insight to be obtained. You'll also contribute towards being part of a high performing team with a high level of both technical and industry expertise., Main responsibilities include:

  • Work with ETL developers to translate business needs to technical specifications.

  • Design, build and deploy PowerBI reports and dashboards for use by other areas of the business.

  • Design, build and deploy Databricks SQL reports and data extracts for use by other areas of the business.

  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting for data and system changes.

  • Evaluate and suggest improvements to existing BI and analytics processes.

  • Work with other BI Developers as part of a high performing data and analytics team.

  • Provide guidance on best practice to other BI Developers

    You'll have strong, demonstrable experience developing MI solutions and experience doing this in a Financial Services environment is preferred. You'll also have a strong understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework as well as:

  • Experience in MS PowerBI and SQL is essential.

  • Financial Services experience is preferred.

  • Understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.

  • Understanding of Azure Datalakes, ADF and Databricks and how they output to PowerBI.

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant would be advantageous, but not essential.

  • Salary - up to £40,068 p.a. depending on skills and experience.
