Full Job Description

You will be working independently at your own desk and computer terminal alongside three other office staff.
Our whole business is built around an in house custom built Microsoft Access database.
Product and technical information is exported from there to provide data to run our website and other ways to market.
Our Inline Filters website is our main source of income, followed a long way back by Amazon and Ebay.
You will be expected to work within the backend of Access to manipulate data for all these areas.
This will include creating the usual tables, queries, forms and reports as required.
However, you must also be comfortable working within the Access VBA environment and be able to program accordingly.
You should also be confident enough in your ability to be able to teach other members of staff some basic Access skills., Inputting orders generated on our website and from Amazon and Ebay.
Liaising with suppliers and generating supplier orders.
Receiving in supplier orders and generating labels.
Liaising with customers by email and telephone.
Inputting catalogue data into our Microsoft Access database.

WAREHOUSE DUTIES WHEN REQUIRED
You will also assist with light duties in the warehouse when required:
Packing and shipping outgoing orders in the Goods-out area.
Unpacking and labelling orders in the Goods-in area.
Inputting parcel shipping data into our couriers software.

INTEGRATION
Integration between other staff members is important to us for these reasons:
We are a small company so everyone has to get on with everyone else.
It promotes team building and creates a smooth running company.
It enables everyone to work together to a common goal.
Support and assistance is always there.
Avoids unnecessary friction between staff members.

You should fully understand the complexities of Microsoft Access.
You should be comfortable working within all the design elements of Microsoft Access.
You must be able to provide examples of Access programs that you have developed.
Or you must be able to provide details of databases you have worked on for other companies., Most other tasks here follow a set process so you must be able to work diligently and methodically.
You should have good keyboard skills and a brisk typing speed.
You must be able to work quickly, accurately and independently.
You should have a confident and polite telephone manner.

This is a full time job so working hours are:
Mon-Fri 8:30am-17:00pm
1/2 hour lunch.
4 weeks holiday plus all normal bank holidays.
We close between Xmas and New Year so there will always be some compulsory leave within that period.

PAY
Your pay will be:
£12.70ph / £2205pm / £26416.00pa
You will start on a 3 month trial.

Our warehouse and office details:
We are on a green field site away from any industry.
You will be working in a clean, dry and warm environment.
You will have your own desk and computer terminal.
Lunch can be taken in our brand new staff room with comfortable seating.
Microwave, fridge, kettle, tea and coffee are all provided.
The staff room also has new adjoining washrooms.
Our company has a reputation for being a nice place to work so you should be quite comfortable here.
