Full Job Description
- Highways Maintenance (e.g. pothole repairs, grass cutting, winter gritting services)
- Providing traffic management for a diversity of projects.
- Working as part of our multi-disciplined teams to deliver innovative solutions to highways maintenance.
- GCSE or equivalent English & Maths (Grade Grades A to C or 9 to 4)
- Communication skills, IT skills, Number skills, Team working, Physical fitness.
- Full UK Driving Licence/ reliable transportation to get to the depot every day
- The Right to Work in the UK
- Lived in the UK for 3+ years
Milestone Infrastructure is the UKs leading highways maintenance provider. Looking after 48000 km of roads, 300,000 lighting assets and 20,000 miles of footways, always with a view to ensuring that all works are carried out as sustainably as possible and with minimal impact to local communities.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
At the end of your apprenticeship, you will be awarded a Level 2 Highways Maintenance Skilled Operative Apprenticeship
Depending on your location you will be required to travel to college on block release with fellow apprentices and stay in a hotel for your relaxation time., You will learn all of the skills necessary for this Highway Maintenance apprenticeship, through a combination of formal training and practical experience. You will work in a team alongside our highly experienced colleagues, and you will benefit from their knowledge and their support on a daily basis
An offer of employment for this role will be subject to a satisfactory DBS Check. Such checks will be requested once a conditional offer of employment has been made.

This apprenticeship is an 18-month program, that will develop your practical, technical and soft-skills with Health & Safety at the heart of everything you do.
