Full Job Description

On a typical day you will maintain and contribute to the improvement of infrastructure models that are used to understand timetable & train performance. The work you will do as part of a small, centralised team within System Operator will be vital to ensuring timely information is provided to our stakeholders as we seek to build the best performant timetables possible

We are looking for an individual who is inquisitive about data, and reviewing a diverse range of information sources to make create infrastructure model that are utilised for detailed simulation work. You will be a team player who’ll be able to work to tight timescales. It is not essential that you have experience in using simulation toolkits (as training will be provided), but it is essential that you have an aptitude for data, detail and precision., · Intermediate / advanced knowledge of Microsoft IT packages.

· Modelling or data processing experience to defined standards and quality processes.

· Ability to analyse and solve modelling & analytical problems.

· Proven experience in delivering to agreed timelines and standards.

BPSS

As an arm’s length department of the UK Government, Network Rail is required to comply with a well-established pre-employment vetting process for all prospective employees.
