Full Job Description

At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 - 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office., This Communications role will help drive brand and profit delivery for Honda UK Motorcycle business. You will own the delivery of Honda UK Paid Media, social media, Dealer Marketing and Creative Communications to drive awareness, consideration, and desire for the Honda Motorcycle brand in order to achieve our commercial sales objectives.,

  • Contribute to the delivery of annual strategic plans which delivers against the Honda mid-term direction and commercial requirements of the Motorcycle business.

  • The lead for Honda UK Motorcycle Paid Media, Dealer Marketing strategy and creative communications plus a key player in the delivery of social media plans. This will include the promotion of product launches, tactical campaigns, and brand and product awareness initiatives. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of the platforms which contain the various dealer assets.

  • Owner and curator of the Social Media calendar. You will lead the development of social media campaigns, work with the Section Manager on content requirements, proactively source stories and deliver relevant shareable posts that will attract and engage prospects. You will manage social media partnerships with other brands to share our message and grow our following.

  • Operationally responsible for Community Management you will ensure comments are responded to in a relevant and timely manner to drive advocacy and brand warmth.

  • Deliver creative for the national paid and owned plans. This will include the origination of marketing and promotional materials for broadcast, digital and CRM channels in addition to the adaptation of a European asset toolkit. You will also be responsible for running the CRM campaigns with our various agencies.

  • Full accountability for the development and delivery of national paid media plans (excl. PPC and SEO). You will ensure plans punch above their weight and deliver ROI against our commercial objectives.

  • The 'lead' on localisation of national marketing initiatives to create a 'best in industry' dealer marketing toolkits. You will be required to work as an exceptional communicator influencing the interwoven relationship between all marketing channels to deliver against local needs while complimenting the national direction. To support this, you will supply a library of images, content, POS, brochures and ROI based assets.

  • You are the Paid Media, Dealer Marketing and Social Media brand guardian, responsible for ensuring all National and Dealer communications adhere to Honda UK brand framework and showcase Honda's unique brand personality. Ensure all content is consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience. Projects such as "Beyond the Blade" will require working with presenters and agencies to help promote the product.

  • Keep abreast of customer expectations and emerging innovations and trends. Bring innovations, fresh thinking, and new ideas to paid media, creative comms, social media, and Dealer Marketing to ensure Honda is 'industry leading' in its output.

  • Motivate a significant agency structure and multiple stakeholders to deliver against your objectives. Actively foster collaboration, innovation and forward thinking from your partners and stakeholders to ensure maximum delivery and success.

  • Responsibility for the governance and reporting of Honda UK Motorcycle social media, paid media, creative communications and Dealer Marketing activity and budget. Responsible for continual review and optimisation of channel performance against KPIs using the PDCA process to maximise ROI.

  • Own the relationship between Honda UK, HME and HFE on all matters relating to social media, paid media, creative communications and Dealer Marketing. Through your positive and influential relationship ensure the needs of the UK market are fully represented in centralised production and timings. Operate a transparent and proactive communications approach to ensure UK direction and activities are fully understood.

  • Working closely with the off-road department to manage the implementation of the just launched CRF250R Cup.

    Required/Desirable

  • Extensive experience in the curation and delivery of high budget media plans.

  • Social media literate with a demonstratable record of owning a brands social media platforms.

  • A creative eye with proven ability to produce brand aligned stand out executions.

  • Prior knowledge of Motorcycles advantageous.

  • Commercially astute, ideally with knowledge of Motorcycle Dealer networks.

  • Driven and motivated with a strong desire to exceed objectives. Metric centric - ability to set clear KPIs, track, measure and report.

  • Sharp project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliverables without sacrificing quality.

  • Excellent people skills with experience of being the main touch point for multiple high-level stakeholders and external relationships (including multiple agency partners).

  • Action orientated with a proven record of accomplishment of directly driving action through external partner agencies and internal stakeholders.

  • Financially and commercially astute with previous experience of budget management.

  • Well organised, able to strategically plan and manage multiple diverse tasks at once in a very busy role.
