Full Job Description

  • Receive production schedules, cad package drawings, and work instructions from the design team and manage accuracy of the whiteboard.

  • Interpret and organise information to complete bill of materials (BoM's) on EFACS MRP system.

  • Convert BoM's into works orders.

  • Generate picking lists for each work instruction and provide them to the stock control supervisor for efficient stock issuance.

  • Issue works orders to production in the agreed format, including relevant barcodes for each part.

  • Ensure timely procurement of all requirements for the production and installation team, maintain adequate stock levels as needed by both teams.

  • Support the management of the purchase ledger accurately and within specified timescales. Liasing with finance when required.

  • Negotiate value-for-money prices with both new and existing suppliers and fabricators.

  • Cultivate relationships with the shop floor team to ensure purchased items meet quality standards.

  • Assist production and installation supervisors with urgent requests while adhering to established procedures.

  • Support the design team with a variety of elements including new protocols and processes.

  • Undertake any other duties as appropriate to the purpose of the role as required by the organisation, where required training will be provided.

    Excellent IT skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work across the business.

  • Meticulous attention to detail.

  • Full UK clean driving license with own transport.


  • Desired skills:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of accounts payable
