Full Job Description

The NDT Supervisor - (Black Hat) Radiography Coordination, has overall responsibility for the management, planning, organisation, coordination and delivery of radiography works and associated activities in accordance with company procedures. Giving direct instruction to the night shift supervisors, Ensuring safe and efficient execution of all activities and providing quality results in a timely manner and complying with applicable company, customer and site process & procedures.,

  • Liaising direct with the Clients and contractors for the effective planning, organisation and supervision of radiography activities and where required other NDT methods. Ensuring work is carried out in a timely, safe and efficient manner to meet deadlines and changing priorities as they occur

  • Conduct pre job walk-downs ensuring areas for planned radiography and NDT works are suitable

  • Create and submit barrier plans to the client and site wide platform supervisors

  • Attend daily radiography teams meetings

  • Assign appropriate personnel and equipment resources to meet productivity demands

  • Liaise with night shift supervisors & material controllers regarding the assignment and deployment of equipment and materials

  • Manage night shift supervision to ensure they have prepared and submitted permits and work authorisation forms

  • Organise and ensure safe working practices are being adhered to by the nightshift supervision & radiography team during radiography works, including checking barriers/signage, radiation PPE, barrier patrols, radiation monitoring/notifications and source movements

  • Attend coordination meetings and liaise with customer and contractor's area supervision to ensure radiography and NDT works do not impinge on SimOps activities or vice versa and radiography/NDT is able to proceed safely

  • Write and manage specific radiography techniques in accordance with procedural, Code and Specification requirements. Ensuring technicians are adhering to the techniques via supervisor inspections

  • Provide technical support to all radiography personnel ensuring efficient delivery and quality of radiography and NDT work scopes

  • Assist with development of look-ahead plans for radiography activities and ongoing development of NORMS

  • Support in the production of RAMS

  • Manage performance monitoring and auditing of radiography supervisor and team members

  • Ensure all radiography work is carried out in compliance with Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017

    Minimum of PCN Level 2 Radiography, Level 3 preferred
