Network Engineer

• Work within the network architecture including compliance to protocols, Quality of Service, addressing scheme and cyber security measures


• Support the Network Test & Integration Strategy.


• Agree the Integration, Verification and Validation Methods.


• Satisfy the requirement set through design and development activities. Implement the network architecture in physical form, fit and function


• Understanding and / or experience of Network Test and Acceptance requirements in regulated settings


• Demonstrate compliance to the requirements set through integration, verification and validation activities including production of Test Reports and certificates.


• Carry out network engineering activities in a team / multi-stakeholder / multi-discipline environment.
  
  Experience in LAN / WAN administration


• Good all-round technical Networking Knowledge


• Designing IP based Networks. ·


• Network security, using ACLs, State full Firewalls and Stateless Firewalls


• Understanding of the TCP / IP protocol stack


• Understanding of the ISO protocol stack


• Understanding of Layer 3 routing protocols including OSPF and Multicast PIM


• Linux experience (command line / scripting)


• General understanding of Engineering Development lifecycles.
