Full Job Description

As the Neurodiversity Schools Worker you will work with identified schools in Leeds and Bradford to offer a range of workshops to students.

You will be delivering groupwork programmes to children and young people - you will be provided training to deliver 'Understanding Me' which was created to support neurodiverse children and young people struggling to understand their needs and diagnosis or form positive peer relationships and experiencing low self-esteem consequently placing them at risk of emotional crisis.

You will be working in collaboration with school staff - You will work with staff in schools to positively enhance the experience of transition and early support for neurodiverse students.

You will be working with parents/carers - key to the role is partnership working with the Parent and Carer Forums in Bradford and Leeds to support parents and carers and their identified needs.

    The Neurodiversity in Education Pilot is a new initiative being developed and will be delivered across West Yorkshire and Barnardo's will be delivering this work in Bradford and Leeds.


  • This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development and delivery of the pilot in identified schools depending on the need.

    The Service Offer:
    Barnardo's West Yorkshire Keyworker Service is leading the delivery of the Neurodiversity in Education Pilot in Bradford and Leeds, focusing on early support and intervention to neurodiverse children and young people in their educational settings.
