As an Offshore Hybrid Assets (OHA) Programme Manager, you'll support the Head of OHA programme to ensure strong coordination across commercial, construction and regulatory activities for our offshore hybrid assets, as well as ensure OHA programme governance process are managed effectively across multiple workstreams on multiple OHA projects. This directorate leads the development of the next wave of offshore grid business development activities in conjunction with our EU partners and in line with the strategic direction of National Grid in the North Sea.

This role can be based from Warwick or London, and you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.,

  • Develop portfolio management framework and produce portfolio management reporting for OHA projects. This includes creating a reporting of the performance of all the development activities into a portfolio management structure with a clear view of their value, costs, risks and progress alongside a set of relevant metrics.

  • Coordinate across commercial, construction and regulatory activities for our offshore hybrid assets to ensure progress of OHA projects are made at pace and key decisions and escalation are proactively identified to OHA programme board and OHA Steerco.

  • Work with key stakeholders across commercial, construction and regulatory workstreams to ensure programme risks are identified, effectively mitigated and reported to the OHA governance meetings.

  • Produce good quality OHA projects reporting materials for the OHA governance meetings.

  • Undertake effective discussions on the progress of OHA and produce materials to be able to facilitate the decision making and risk mitigation for the OHA portfolio.

    A strong track record of delivery and performance - a self-starter, confident and independent, ability to work to tight deadlines in a high pace environment.

  • Experience in execution / delivery of complex and large programme in a corporate and commercial environment.

  • Experience in managing project and portfolio governance process is desirable.

  • Ability to create high quality performance management for a wide variety of audiences and incorporating multiple data sets, ideally with portfolio management experience on capital assets development.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, demonstrated through a track record in current and / or previous roles.

  • An understanding of interconnectors and their position within the energy industry would be an advantage.

  • Broad understanding of the energy industry and wider economic, social and political forces impacting upon it.

  • Degree, or equivalent level of formal education, ideally in a numerate/engineering/ business-oriented degree subject.

    A competitive salary between £58,000 - £75,000 - dependent on capability.

    As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 15% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
