o Cultivate and sustain relationships, expanding our network while reinforcing existing bonds.
o Harness operational analysis methodologies to solve pressing real-world challenges, employing, and innovating with the latest tools and techniques.
Expertise required, + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
+ Experience in one or more of the following technical disciplines or similar techniques. This list is not exhaustive:
o Process and conceptual mapping (e.g. influence diagrams)
o Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA)
o Benefits analysis
o Wargaming
o Simulation (System Dynamics or Discrete Event Simulation)
o Designing and facilitating workshops (including Military Judgement Panels),
o Historical Analysis
o Knowledge of statistics, data manipulation and analysis languages (VBA, SQL, R, Python)
o Cost Effectiveness Analysis (CEA) and Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA)
o Portfolio, programme, and project management (including schedule and risk analysis).

Consultants: Welcoming applicants with a background in conducting thorough analytical work. You should have some professional experience and the aptitude to learn how to navigate complex problems and generate meaningful insights. While we seek the essential attributes listed below, we understand your experience in these areas may be developing. A willingness to learn and grow into these competencies will be highly valued.
Senior Consultants: We're looking for individuals with a proven track record in delivering analysis programs and pioneering innovative approaches. A demonstrated expertise in handling intricate analysis projects and applying creative solutions is crucial. Candidates should exhibit a deeper understanding and more extensive application of the essential attributes, with an emphasis on innovation and growth.
Principal Consultants: A substantial background in leading analysis efforts, guiding teams, introducing innovative strategies, and/or contributing significantly to business development is required. Candidates should demonstrate a mastery of the essential attributes, with significant experience in operational analysis, analytical method development, stakeholder relationship management, effective communication and presentation, and technical report generation. Your role will not only apply these skills but also mentor others in developing them.

Essential attributes:


  • + Operational Analysis to support business decision making, policy development, and / or research, including both 'soft' and 'hard' techniques (problem structuring and modelling).


  • + Skilled in the development and application of analytical methods and models.
    + Experienced in fostering robust customer and stakeholder relationships.
    + Ability to work in complex, dynamic situations requiring both team and independent working and creativity.
    + Competent in the composition and presentation of technical reports.


  • + Experience working with Defence Digital, DE&S, Dstl, Frontline Commands or UK Defence industry., + An understanding of UK Government guidance and requirements relating to the delivery of analysis and Business Cases (AQUA and GREEN Books).
    + Be a member of an appropriate professional body (e.g. Operational Research Society, APM, IMA) and have a desire for further professional development.
    + The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience., o Candidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK.
    o Candidates must be willing to undergo an internal Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check prior to starting their employment with the company.
    o Candidates will also need to either hold a current SC clearance or be willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check (SC level) upon starting their employment with the company. To gain SC clearance you will normally need at least 5 years' UK residency
    o Candidates must be able to travel to customer sites and be comfortable to work away from home or the office for limited periods of time.

    Hours: 37.5

    Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience. The role comes with a competitive benefits package including pension (7% company contribution), additional holiday purchase options, private health care, life assurance and electric vehicle scheme.
