Operational Manager

At Gregory Distribution Ltd, we have a vacancy for a Operational Manager based at our Whitland Depot.

The position will involve :

• Take charge of optimising operational processes, with a focus on maximizing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall productivity.


• Foster effective communication and collaboration between various teams, such as procurement, inventory, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products / services.


• Analyse existing operational workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance overall performance.


• Effectively manage resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production and service demands while maintaining cost control.


• Collaborate with the Quality Control team to implement and maintain quality standards throughout the production and service delivery processes.


• Oversee inventory control measures, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained to fulfill customer orders and minimize holding costs.


• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for different operational functions, track metrics, and report on performance to senior management regularly.


• Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial targets.


• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards, mitigating risks and maintaining a safe working environment.


• Lead, mentor, and motivate operational teams, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals and enhance employee engagement.
