Full Job Description

Our OT Technicians provide technical support for our control systems, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, intelligent motor drives and communication equipment.

This is a hands-on role that will see you joining a dedicated team that fault finds, maintains and carries out improvements to our critical control systems across water production and wastewater recycling.

You will need a free-thinking, can-do attitude, and a flexible approach to the everyday problems you will encounter. You will be providing innovative technical solutions and technical support to divisional engineering teams.

  • Experience in an ICA or control systems environment with working knowledge of industrial control systems and associated communication systems.

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in an Engineering or Technical discipline.

  • Electrical competency (BS7671 is desirable).

  • Be flexible, know how to connect with others and pride yourself on being proactive and bringing positive, bright ideas to the team.

  • Take responsibility for tasks and projects you've been assigned.

  • Be able to manage your own time and adapt to change.

  • Be driven to succeed, aspire for excellence and think outside the box.

  • Be customer-focused and an excellent communicator at all levels so that you can develop close working relationships with peers across the business.

  • Great business awareness and commercial skills and the ability to organise your workload efficiently so that you can work with minimal supervision.

  • Knowledge of multiple PLC, HMI and SCADA platforms, including Siemens TIA, Step 7 and Mitsubishi GX/GT Works would be beneficial.
