Full Job Description

Morrison Water Services are currently looking to recruit a Operative to work on our Thames Water Smart Metering contract in Thames Valley.

As an Operative, you will be part of our metering team who are responsible for installation of external water meters in the public highway.

You will provide assistance to the Team Leader conducting Smart Meter installations and be responsible for health and safety for all members of the team. You will ensure the quality of work complies with contract specifications and environmental legislation.

You will also ensure all areas of operational delivery meet Morrison Water Services, client and customer requirements inclusive of hygiene, quality and CML, DG7 and customer complaints. You will ensure the Planning Team and supervisors have all the relevant information including job details, plant and materials to complete the job for it to be invoiced.

Furthermore, you will conduct all risk assessments and mitigate risks to health and safety, customer experience and commercial aspects of the job. You will ensure all plant is operated in a safe manner, serviced to schedule and calibrated while supporting the team and management.

Do you hold a current driving licence? You will need to hold one to be considered for this role.

Are you Streetworks qualified? (Not essential as training will be given)

Do you enjoy working with others, communicating at all levels?

Can you demonstrate the ability to work to tight timescales, while prioritising the work and problem solving?

Additional Information

  • You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools.

  • You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers and be required to walk and stand on uneven ground.

  • You must also be able to work within a confined space, without restriction.
