Full Job Description

  • Responsible for delivering extremely high standards of work, within the hotel Maintenance Team, focussing on delivering high quality painting and decorating.

  • Making our guests happy, ensuring they have a positive and memorable experience.

  • Having an extremely flexible approach and working really hard to avoid causing any disruption to our guest's.

  • Most of all we will want you to be inspired, have fun and enjoy being part of our Hand Picked Team.

    Previous and recent experience in a Maintenance role or a painting & decorating role is required.

  • Keeping this historic Hotel looking her best and in excellent working order will be your passion and motivation.

  • You will enjoy being responsible and taking ownership of resolving issues and working to ensure the safety and security of the Hotel and all of its guests. You will enjoy working with people and building a rapport with your colleagues.

  • Most of all, you will have a professional, organised and friendly approach and be able to anticipate our guests needs and create memories.

    We are currently recruiting for a Painter and Decorator at The Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels.
    Nestled on the edge of beautiful St Aubin's Bay in St Helier, Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa is a sophisticated 5 Star resort sitting at the island's bustling heart.
    Boasting 123 bedrooms, many with ocean views, this Jersey hotel has gained an enviable reputation as the ultimate wedding venue thanks to its close proximity to the bay's beautiful sweeping beach.
    For a unique culinary experience, Grand Jersey's jewel in its crown is Tassili, an exceptional fine dining restaurant. Tassili boasts 4 AA Rosettes in honour of chef Nicolas Valmagna's creative flair for combining local ingredients with classic French flavours.

  • A competitive salary package of £33,425 per year, additional hours will be paid at an hourly rate of £16.07 plus a share of service charge.

  • This is a Full-Time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business needs.
