What we look for:
+ Someone who is enthusiastic about working patients and their families with complex palliative care needs in the acute hospital environment.
+ Someone who is able to provide symptom management and psychological and social support to patients and their families within the acute hospital environment.
+ Someone who can deliver education to Health care professionals, patients and their families
+ Someone who works well in a team but also able to work autonomously.
+ Willingness to learn

You will be part of a well-established and highly regarded team within Basingstoke community, working within an MDT environment including medical staff, therapists and Clinical Nurse Specialists. You will be contributing to the development and delivery of this vital service working in collaboration with our community Palliative Care Team.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge and confidence within our supportive team. Enabling you to become an autonomous practitioner demonstrating the ability to make clinical judgements using expert knowledge and skills, to provide the highest standard of holistic care for our patients and their families.
An enthusiasm and understanding of palliative and end of life Care in an acute hospital setting is essential.
