Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk / Bookkeeper to join our friendly Stockport office. This role offers comprehensive training and presents an excellent opportunity to advance within a progressive accountancy firm. We are also open to both full-time or part-time arrangements for the right candidate., Duties will include:
Preparation of weekly and monthly payroll information including:
- Preparation and processing of overtime and variable hours
- Processing statutory payments
- Processing pension payments and auto-enrolment.
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintaining customer and supplier ledgers
- Use of accounting software systems; Sage, Xero, Quickbooks
- Preparation and reconciliation of VAT returns.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualities: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills to explain matters to clients
- Relevant payroll and bookkeeping knowledge
- Ideal but not essential: accounts preparation experience.
