PCN Trainee Nursing Associate

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Nursing Associate (TNA) to support the Burntwood Primary Care Network., The TNA will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing safe, person-centred care to improve the health of our population. In line with best practice and with support from the MDT, you will carry out various procedures to monitor and improve the health of patients, including physical observation, venepuncture, ECG recording, injections, annual reviews and other procedures commensurate with your training and skills. Working in collaboration with a range of other professionals including GPs, practice nurses, district nurses, and other community services. Either in practice or attendance at housebound patients residence.

A designated senior medical person will provide mentorship and supervision. The level and type of supervision will be dependent on the post holders acquisition of skills and knowledge and determined by the organisations clinical governance arrangements. The practice hold regular education meetings and the TNA would be expected to attend and partake in these.

The Lichfield and Burntwood practice network has come into effect since 2018 and has evolved into two distinct but closely linked Primary Care Networks. The practices work closely together enabling greater provision of proactive, personalised, coordinated and more integrated health and social care for our communities. They are meeting the ambitions in the NHS Long Term Plan.
