Full Job Description

The task at hand: The People & Culture Advisor is responsible for providing support and coaching to line managers, covering a variety of issues (including employee relations matters), ensuring they are empowered to problem solve, translating policies and guidance into practice. In addition, the People & Culture Advisor provides detailed insight on people activities to the People & Culture Manager and senior managers, playing a key role in the development of initiatives aimed at ensuring Onecom remains a great place to work., + Help to drive organisational performance by driving core business objectives
+ Assist in the delivery of strategic people projects
+ Work with the People & Culture Manager to develop, maintain and update people processes and services, with a focus on evaluation and improvement at all times.
+ A key support role for managers, being the first point of contact and providing professional advice on people related issues, ensuring legal and legislative requirements are met, escalating to the People & Culture Manager where necessary.
+ Analyse and understand data and information quickly arriving at robust, defendable views
+ Work with the People & Culture Manager to identify the next project focusing on enhancing employee engagement and driving staff retention. Help lead these to successful implementation.
+ Reviewing and updating policies in line with current legislation and best practice and keeping an up to date knowledge of employment law changes
+ Regularly provide analysis of people reports to the People & Culture Manager and other department Heads.
+ Develop and maintain positive internal relationships with key stakeholders.
+ Assist in the development and evaluation of performance management processes.
+ Assist with absence monitoring and provide support to line managers in handling absence management.

+ Previous experience working at a similar level within a generalist HR environment
+ CIPD level 7 qualification desirable (or equivalent degree, qualification or work experience)
+ Strong decision-making ability
+ Sound knowledge of UK employment law
+ Understanding of and commitment to EDI
+ Act with integrity, impartiality and independence, and aim to apply sound personal judgement in every situation
+ Ability to influence people at all levels both within and beyond the organisation
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations
+ Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
+ Adaptability and initiative
+ Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
+ A pro-active approach
+ Strong systems and analytical skills (ability to use the Microsoft packages and exposure to a HRIS system is a must)
+ Commitment to further professional and personal development
+ Ability to support a team to ensure they contribute to the overall success of departmental and organisational objectives
+ Able to support multi-disciplined staff
