We're developing a new generation of innovative offshore hybrid assets (OHAs), which combine the enormous benefits of interconnectors and offshore wind. These assets will allow clusters of offshore wind farms to connect to multiple countries in one go via interconnectors.

As a Performance Lead, you'll contribute to the strategic direction and performance of the National Grid Ventures (NGV) business and to become a trusted confidante of the European Offshore Development management team. That's a job anyone can be proud of.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and high-performing individual to flex their already strong communication and influencing skills at a more senior level, both internally and externally, and to demonstrate delivery through virtual teams, networking and alignment.

This role is based from Warwick and you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.,

  • Work with the European Offshore Development management team to help develop the European Offshore Development performance scorecard, ensuring appropriate performance measures are in place to give line of sight visibility on outcomes delivery and assurance against objectives.

  • Drive and facilitate the processes and organisation behind business planning, performance management, communications and cross-directorate initiatives and projects.

  • Prepare management reports for the European Offshore Development management and other committees on behalf of the Director of European Offshore Development.

  • Prepare presentations and speeches for both internal and external events.

  • Support strategic developments in European Offshore Development, and the wider NGV, including but not limited to delivery of future projects such as OHAs.

    Broad understanding of National Grid and its position within the energy industry including an intellectual curiosity and natural interest in business.

  • Broad understanding of the energy industry and wider economic, social and political forces impacting upon it.

  • An understanding of the Interconnectors business to be able to provide advice and counsel to the Director of European Offshore Development and the management team.

  • Strong networking and influencing skills, demonstrated through a track record in current and / or previous roles.

  • Ability to create high quality reports for a wide variety of audiences and incorporating multiple data sets.

  • A strong track record of delivery and performance - a self-starter, confident and independent, ability to work to tight deadlines in a high pace environment.

  • Degree, or equivalent level of formal education, ideally in a numerate/engineering/ business-oriented degree subject.

    A competitive salary between £50,000 - £63,000 - dependent on capability.

    As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
