Pharmacy Dispenser / Medicines Counter Assistant

Dispense medications accurately following prescriptions
- Provide information to patients about dosage instructions and potential side effects
- Maintain pharmacy inventory and assist in ordering supplies
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care
- Serve customers with exceptional customer service with retail sales and OTC/P medicines
- Receive and hand out prescriptions as per SOPs

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in pharmacy and have good accuracy skills. This position requires a focus on patient care and ensuring accurate dispensing of medications.

This is a split post, 2 days working in dispensary and 2 days on the counter - We require you to work every other Saturday morning (9am-1pm) on a rota basis. This role could become full time if required, this can be discussed at interview. Our working day is 7.5hrs, 9am to 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch, if preferred, 30 minutes lunch can be taken to give an 8hr day., Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser
- Proficiency in medication administration techniques
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing patient safety

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in patient care settings
- Certification as a pharmacy dispenser as a minimum
- Good IT skills
