Music at Barton Peveril

At Barton Peveril, we foster the musical talents of our students, offering a comprehensive academic programme led by a specialist team of staff that includes A-Level Music, a Diploma in Popular Music Performance, and A-Level Music Technology. In addition, we extend a warm and inclusive invitation to musicians throughout the college community, regardless of their academic focus, to become part of our diverse range of ensembles and choirs. The department stands out with its state-of-the-art facilities, providing students with a cutting-edge learning environment.

Many of our musicians continue their musical journey at top universities and the country's foremost conservatoires, such as the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Trinity Laban Conservatoire, the Royal Northern College of Music, and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. To support these students, we offer a specialist support programme, which includes regular chamber music concerts, lunchtime concerts, coaching in their first studies in preparation for auditions, workshops with visiting staff from conservatoires, and piano accompaniment sessions.
