Full Job Description

This role will cover the end-to-end integration of planning activities across the lifecycle of a particular building or set of buildings on the project. The role will entail working with supply chain partners and other programme teams with a focus on the Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC design, manufacture and installation works. Interface Management will be a key aspect of this role and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and to interpret and analyse data and make robust recommendations to the project team will be an important part of the role. Experience of 4D planning principles and data visualisation tools would also be beneficial.

As the Senior Planner, your role will include:

  • Developing and maintaining baseline schedules

  • Conducting Progress Updates

  • Resource Management

  • Analysing schedules and recommending recovery/mitigation actions

  • Float Path / Critical Path Analysis

  • Tracking quantities, hours and productivity metrics and analysing variance root causes

  • Generation of reports, KPIs, metrics and dashboards

  • Running planning workshops

  • Implementing best practice and new ways of working

    Strong teamwork ethic and with a collaborative approach to working

  • Inquisitive by nature with a passion to strive for the best outcomes

  • Good negotiator, persuasive and able to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders

  • Customer focussed with an understanding of the importance of the role, and it's importance in the Delivery of excellent Customer Service

  • Adaptable with a willingness to respond positively to new ways of working, Experience of working on EPC delivery projects in a senior/lead planning role

  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical design, manufacture and installation

  • Experience of Interface Management and integration of programmes at all levels

  • Experience of planning in a complex project delivery environment

  • Primavera P6 advanced user

  • Understanding of 4D Planning principles and experience of data visualisation tools would be beneficial

  • Experience of leading, coaching or mentoring of teams

  • APM or equivalent project management or controls qualifications
