Full Job Description

To us, community is everything! Our convenience stores are more than just a local shop and our Post Office branches are an integral part of our Estate and the services we offer. As the Post Office Operational Support, you'll support the Commercial Services Manager in the delivery of training and compliance audits to ensure that all branches in your Area operate to the highest possible standards; with a particular focus on customer service, maximising commercial opportunities and driving sales.,

  • Deliver or arrange the training of all dedicated Post office staff and provide on-going support for colleagues in conjunction with the local Post Office branch management teams.

  • Conduct branch audits to assess compliance with all current legislation and POL compliance training requirements.

  • Coach and mentor the teams to achieve both individual and branch targets including sales, shrink, waste, and cash loss; putting formal improvement plans and processes into place where necessary.

  • Monitor and Investigate cash losses or discrepancies and escalate findings/concerns to the relevant Area Manager and when required the Loss Prevention Manager.

  • Work closely with the wider Post Office management team to identify cost saving measures and sales opportunities through analysis of the POL Data reports, and key messaging to our colleagues in branch.

  • Work closely with the Commercial Services Manager to ensure all commercial sales opportunities are being implemented fully at an operational level.

  • Provide branch cover by exception due to sickness and/or holiday.

  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Commercial Services Manager and advise on matters affecting the Company's interest at all times.

    Proven Post Office management experience within a branch network;

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively;

  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail;

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships;

  • The ability to work positively and lead a team to achieve results.
