Practice Education Facilitator, General Practice Nursing Team

This role is a great development opportunity for anyone looking to develop skills and gain experience outside of a clinical setting, working within the Training Hub and in collaboration with the ICS, NHSE and others. It offers the successful candidate a chance to contribute to the ongoing work of the Devon Training Hub in supporting the professional development of Registered Nurses, Nursing Associates, Assistant Practitioners and Healthcare Assistants working in Primary Care in Devon. The focus would be on recruitment and retention of the nursing team, promoting preceptorship and supporting workforce development in collaboration with ICB, NHSE and clinical colleagues., The Nursing Associate role within Primary Care is evolving and numbers within Devon continue to grow. We are keen to both recruit and retain Registered Nursing Associates (RNAs)/Student Nursing Associates (SNAs) and this role will build on existing work to raise the profile of the Nursing Associate role in General Practice and support both Registered and Student Nursing Associates in practice. The Practice Education Facilitator will be involved in coordinating a preceptorship programme for Nursing Associates and supporting the SNA/RNA network within Devon, as well as promoting preceptorship for all nurses in Primary Care and contributing to initiatives to recruit and retain Healthcare Assistants, Registered Nurses and Nursing Associates in General Practice.

Devon Training Hub works closely with NHSE WT&E and Devon ICB to support the recruitment, development and retention of the Primary Care workforce.
