Working in partnership with the Primary Care Networks, Locality Training Hub Leads and the locality GPEFs the Pharmacy PEF will lead with the following: - Establishing relationships with the PCNs and Locality Training Hubs to collate information in relation to clinical pharmacists to develop a base line of numbers to ascertain the capacity for undergraduate pharmacy learners Work in partnership with the Locality GPEF teams Ensure all learning environments meet HEE Quality Framework Domains andstandards in order for the learner to experience quality learning experience which will ensure the development of the required pharmacy standards and proficiencies Support the co-ordination and development of placements, working in partnership with the HEIs that supports completion of required placements for undergraduate pharmacy learners Supports pharmacy educators and supervisors to understand the curriculum and learning outcomes for pharmaceutical learners To support the learners in placements,
meet their programme outcomes including the development of placements across organisational boundaries Provide and facilitate peer support for educators and supervisors associated with pharmaceutical learners and ensure alignment and links are established between existing educator/supervisor groups Ensure alignment and linkage to existing GPEFs who support undergraduate nursing, AHP, Physician Associate and other work experience programmes to ensure standardisation of support and approach where applicable Ensure partnership working with locality Training hub teams to ensure alignment and robust communications to all undergraduate pharmacy learners and educators/supervisors Principle Duties and Responsibilities Development of communication networks and close working with clinical practice pharmacists, practice managers, practice placement areas and HEIs, in particular work in partnership with existing GPEF and Locality Hub structures Lead with the development and embedding of an
infrastructure that would support in ongoing and sustainable quality assurance of the delivery of general practice placements for undergraduate pharmacy learners Work in partnership with the local HEIs to build capacity and competency for pharmacy learning environments To provide clinical expertise to the existing pharmaceutical placement teams and locality Hubs relating to the Educator/supervision requirements, placement requirements and clinical educational requirements associated with the Pharmacy curriculum and proficiencies Attend relevant employer and sector groups to raise the profile of pharmacy learners within primary care to encourage colleagues to support learners Ensure high quality learning experiences are provided for all undergraduate pharmacy learners within the programme Lead with the development of practice based and external spoke placements to raise the profile of pharmacy in primary care and to ensure placement availability that supports the requirements for the
programme Work with existing GPEFs and locality hub teams to support practices explore new placements and ensure learning environmental audits are in place when required. Ensure all educators/supervisors are trained and up to date in accordance with their regulatory body standards in relation to supporting and educating learners in practice. Facilitate the development of clinical practice Work alongside learners in a coaching and mentoring capacity to promote bestpractice, to motivate and inspire staff to achieve their best and promote a positive learning culture within General Practice. Support educators/supervisors, providing supervision and support structures inorder to build education in practice capability, consistency and efficiency.

Work in partnership with the Locality Training Hub GPEFs to support themaintenance of up-to-date accurate records of educator/mentor/supervisor/assessor developments and updates Support educator/supervisors in decisions relating to the learners experienceincluding the achievement of learning outcomes, proficiency and fitness for practice Ensure all learners are provided with a strategic and local induction atcommencement of placement Be the clinical expert for Primary Care in relation to undergraduate pharmacy Provide the best evidence-based practice advice in a clinical setting foreducators/supervisors and staff in relation to education in practice. Network locally, regionally and nationally with peer group to support the sharingof best practice Act as an expert resource/champion of placement learning experience andinterprofessional learning in practice for undergraduate pharmacy learners Identify any gaps in resources, education, development and knowledge
inrelation to the learning environment, providing action plans to address these Identify further learning experiences that will enhance learning opportunities Evaluate feedback from learners and educators/supervisors to develop actionplans to further enhance quality learning in placements Ensure that equality and diversity issues are recognised, addressed inaccordance with legislation, policies and procedures Ensure confidentiality for all stakeholders is adhered to at all times Understand the clinical, educational bodies and regulations associated withHealth and Social Care professionals working within primary care Produce all relevant data and reports Produce a project evaluation for the pilot Link and work with the NHSE WTE Pharmacy School in delivering outcomes and securing placements as part of the role Flexibility to adapt the role as required due to the evolving nature and growth of the Training Hub as an organisation
