Full Job Description

Broadshires Health Centre is looking for a dedicated registered nurse to join our dynamic nursing team. We are looking for a treatment room nurse to undertake clinical consultations and deliver care adhering to Patient Specific Directions and Patient Group Directions. The Treatment Room Nurse uses effective clinical and communication skills in the assessment and management of patients in General Practice settings, ensuring care is planned in partnership with patients, their families/carers and relevant Health Care Professionals. All information will be clearly, accurately and contemporaneously recorded, as required by local policies. They will also deliver anticipatory and preventative care in line with regional public health priorities. The Treatment Room Nurse is able to recognise personal development needs and also facilitate learning for patients, carers, other staff and students. They will participates in relevant education and learning opportunities and is supported to improve
knowledge, skills and behaviours and maintain requirements for NMC revalidation.

The Treatment Room Nurse has an enquiring approach to practice and updates their knowledge to ensure best quality care is provided within any constraints of the service. The Treatment Room Nurse is a vital member of the primary care team and works with other Health Care Professionals and agencies to facilitate the delivery of quality, patient-centred care and services., Great relationship with the District Nurse team, based in the building.

An organised and friendly patient co-ordinator and admin team.

We have strong developing links in the local community and are committed to ensuring a focus on work-life balance and wellbeing., The post holder will work under the indirect supervision of the Lead Nurses and Practice management team to undertaking tasks and duties they have been delegated whilst following clear policy and procedures. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, adhering to their NMC code of conduct.

Hours: 18 (would consider alternative for the correct candidate)

Experience

Essential:

· Experience within a healthcare setting/nursing team

Desirable:

· Experience in a GP Practice

Qualifications

Essential:

· NMC registered Nurse

Desirable:

· Wound care certificate

· Immunisation training

· Cervical screening

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our friendly, supportive practice for a Healthcare Assistant to join us in working to provide an excellent quality service to our patients.

Salary: dependant on experience, This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Please note: Staff may not be registered with the GP practice - any successful applicant currently registered, would be required to change GP.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £13.84-£16.84 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
