Prep Room Assistant (Evenings)

An opportunity has arisen for an Evening Prep Room / picker to join a well-established family-run business that supplies dairy, fruit & veg, and frozen products to catering businesses across Dorset.

Job Purposes:

Our prep assistants carry out the preparation of fresh produce to specification, ensuring food safety and quality which meets the needs of our customers.

Our pickers ensure goods and products are prepared, picked and packed on time ready for next day delivery and ensuring all products picked are of good quality before dispatched.

Experience working in a busy kitchen preparing fresh fruit and vegetables is essential.

Experience of using knives in a busy kitchen environment.

Physically fit, the role will require manual lifting and long periods on their feet.

You will be working in a cold climate.

Knowledge of wholesale/catering would be an advantage.
