Product Owner
Hybrid - Swindon or London
Competitive Salary + Bonus
This is a hybrid position based in Swindon or London.
Responsible For

  • Understanding business requirements and translating them into clear user stories that can be estimated by the development teams

  • Prioritise and manage the data domain backlog

  • Supporting the team by removing impediments and minimising disruption to maximise development efficiency

  • Liaise with Product Manager to confirm progress, dependencies and escalate impediments.

  • Key Tasks
  • Supporting the Product Manager in tasks around the product domain.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and turn these into clear user stories.

  • Participate in scrum meetings and product sprints

  • Manage and prioritise backlog, keeping abreast of evolving requirements; and agree sprint goals, ensuring focus is on adding value and meeting the business goal.

  • Adapting to changes in requirements

  • Provide support to the team to address impediments and seek help from outside the team if required to resolve

  • Minimise technical debt built into product

  • Evaluate and monitor product progress, identify areas of improvement

  • Provide reporting on status and future deliverables roadmap to customers and key stakeholders.

  • Support team members to achieve company objectives along with promoting a positive collaborative atmosphere

    Product mindset and product owner experience

  • Balance continuous improvement & operational optimisations, with client requirements

  • Manage several requests and parallel work streams

  • Positive attitude and outlook, determined, enthusiastic and resilient

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with teams both onshore and offshore.

  • Ability to empathise with clients and & internal users to better understand their needs and pain points.

  • Quick learner within a fast-paced environment.

  • Work independently with agreed remit and autonomy

  • Highly organised, with proven experience of working within an agile environment and the Atlassian tool set (Jira/Confluence)

  • Clear concise reporting, outlining key points

  • Analytical mind-set and can evaluate the value of the deliverables to the business requirements.
