Production Manager

Manage workflow and quality of output to ensure the successful delivery of high quality processed textiles to fulfil customer contracts and exceed expectations.

Manage projects and research and development tasks, ensuring successful delivery alongside day-to-day textiles processing.

Ensure that day-to-day maintenance and data collection activities are carried out and recorded.

Manage and work with the production technicians, ensuring that they are trained, competent and working in accordance with documented work instructions to ensure accurate and safe processing of textiles.

Develop and manage key performance indicators and report data on a monthly basis.

Facilitate a culture of continuous improvement and innovation where all staff are encouraged to share ideas for improvement

Lead team meetings and manage site activities using the Task Log.

Maintain the operational risk register.

Provide cover for technicians during periods of holiday and sickness absence to ensure accurate and timely processing of textiles. Duties include sorting, washer and dryer loading and unloading, quality checking, folding and packing for dispatch.

Provide cover for transporting textiles in the company electric van as and when required.

Manage site health and safety and perform as first aider and fire marshal.

Liaise with the Facilities and Assets Manager to report problems and progress tasks, ensuring the proper functioning of the site.

Write, review, collaborate on and approve site work instructions, records and other operational documents.

Manage the site in line with the company Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring that maintenance of records, reporting and auditing activities are carried out.

Assist with QMS inspections and audits as required.

Salary and Package:
£35,000 dependant on experience

25 days holiday plus bank holidays per year
Standard pension package

Hours:

Full time: 37.5 hour per week

Key Objectives:

To manage the Truro medical textile processing site ensuring the efficient delivery of high quality medical products that comply with regulations and standards.

To continuously strive for improving the operational performance of the site to meet or exceed key performance indicators.

To manage the personnel who work at the Truro site with a focus on team cohesion, wellbeing and shared goals.
