Full Job Description
To support the production of light fitting within the production department, to ensure quality of production and to support the team to achieve the production targets., Supporting the wiring, testing and production of light fittings
Ensuring that the product is routinely inspected for quality and defects
Reporting of any defective products to the line leader/supervisor to ensure product quality
Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment, following company process and procedures
Ensuring health and safety procedures and other company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
Any other duty as required as a reasonable management request
Supporting other team members with tasks as and when required
ROLE TASKS
- Set up the work area and turn on computer
- Complete any tasks outstanding from the previous day
- Collect the days task list as required
- Collect parts and supplies as determined by the job sheets from the warehouse locations
- Check any stock items on the inventory that are required, inform supervisor if stock information is incorrect or supplies are faulty
- Perform fault and quality checks, against the specification, on the produced fitting reporting any defaults to the line leader/supervisor
- Ensure that the produced item is fully tested to specification, with an awareness of the personal responsibility for the production quality
- Ensure that the task is signed off on the computer as completed and take to packing area
- Isolate and record any defective items under the quarantine procedure
- Ensure that the work area is maintained in a clean and tidy manner, clean as you go, or complete task at the end of day bell, ensure any spillages are reported directly. Ensure any additional cleaning duties are completed.
- Report any defective work equipment, machinery or potential health and safety risks to the supervisor or Production Manager. Wear PPE as supplied and directed
- Ensure that personal protective equipment is worn at all times as required
You will be self-driven, conscientious with good communication skills. Mature and credible with an ability to work on your own initiative or as a part of a team. You will have a clear focus on high quality and an attention to detail, with the ability to work flexibly. High level of professionalism - Production Assembly: 3 years (preferred)
· Ability to work at pace with energy, with an interest in learning new skills
· Ability to concentrate, focus and good attention to detail
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Conscientious and proud of the quality of work produced
· Ability to prioritise own workload and seek support where necessary
· Computer Literate with the ability to use the EFACS system, (training given)
· Flexible approach to work and be prepared to work overtime if required
· Team player with the ability to work with and support other team members, sharing best practice and making suggestions for improvements,
