Production Supervisor

Due to our expansion, we are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our production operations. You'll be based at our Avonmouth production facility where our new machinery includes high precision laser cutting and physical assembly of heaters including high-end bespoke variations. Herschel has ambitious plans to scale up production and your role will be integral to the expansion, both in the size of the production facility, new equipment and moving to multiple shift patterns as volumes increase. Quality is of paramount importance as is the welfare of our team members.

The role will suit an ambitious individual who would like to work for a dynamic company, is highly organised, has an eye for detail, can manage and motivate the production team and seeks continual improvements in efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees


• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules


• Oversee employees


• Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance


• Check production output according to specifications


• Submit reports on performance and progress


• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements


• Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures


• Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
  
  Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role


• Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools


• Experience in using MRP software


• Organisational and leadership abilities


• Communication and interpersonal skills


• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
