About the Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to join our growing team for managing projects and programmes and delivering excellence to our client from conception to the delivery of challenging programmes. The successful candidate will become part of a respected and ambitious company's contribution to an integrated project team venture engaged in the whole-life development and implementation of infrastructure improvements across the site.
The successful candidate will be flexible, knowledgeable, and willing and able to lead a large team in delivery of the projects and programmes. The project could be a standalone complex initiative or part of a large programme designed to deliver benefit to the client by delivering value for money and excellence.

Here's what you'll need:

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in appropriate engineering or management subject and membership of a relevant professional body such as the APM or an engineering institution is preferred.


  • Knowledge:
  • Understanding and experience of project and programme management, leadership and delivery of complex programmes and projects;

  • Experience of managing projects from design to delivery/commission and handover processes and their governance and stage gates;

  • Awareness of UK Health and Safety Legislation.


  • Skills:
  • Superior interpersonal and leadership skills are required to enable effective interaction with clients, seniors and peers while working in a collaborative "Team" environment and able to build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships;

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and quality are required along with a process improvement-oriented mindset;

  • Capable of effective multi-task working, identifying and managing priorities and working to challenging time scales.


  • Experience:
  • Evidence of experience of delivering large and complex projects, programmes or portfolios within a highly regulated and complex environment;

  • Experience of managing cross-functional teams in a highly regulated environment;

  • Candidates should be a UK National with SC level Security clearance and/or an ability and willingness to be enhanced.
