Programmes and Youth Support Worker for NE Youth

This role will require working independently with a caseload of young people, as part of a small busy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day delivery to young people from a variety of backgrounds, including those at risk of crime or further offending, on an individual and group work basis. The role will require the capability of delivering a range of issue based interventions using a variety of informal education and support methods, and be able to adapt these based on the age and needs of the children and young people. Good organisation skills and self-motivation are essential to prioritise work and ensure thorough records and reviews of progress are kept, as the successful candidate would need to write reports and attend multi-agency meetings. Developing and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders including external organisations, volunteer mentors and families, will also be crucial to the role. A full driving licence with access to
a car is essential, as the role covers the Northumbria Police force area.
