Full Job Description

If you have a passion for improvement and supporting change, this is a great opportunity to work with a friendly team, at the heart of the Council.
As Project Management Office and Improvements specialist, you will network across the authority and support, train and advise others, ensuring best value for money in our project delivery and continual improvement of the organisation.
Are you motivated to deliver, organised, and good at building and maintaining networks? If so, we would love to hear from you about how you might fit in this role.
About this role
To be successful in this role you will be highly organised and responsible for managing monthly project board meetings and supporting project managers to deliver reporting and meet deadlines for these. We are keen to hear from those with experience of working in the Project Management Office in other organisations, or knowledge of how project reporting and stages should be managed.
You will understand the role of continuous improvement in a local authority and the benefit of process review, ideally with experience of improvement tools such as process mapping or working on improvement projects.
Most of all you will work well to enable and support others to drive project delivery and improvement at the Council. You will have excellent relationship building skills and experience of supporting others to ensure delivery of corporate goals.
This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking local authority based in Maldon, an area which boasts an enviable quality of life and stunning countryside, yet within easy reach of London. We promote a professional work environment with a focus on self-development, innovation, and collaborative working.
