Full Job Description

Building a sustainable tomorrow

We are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join our team working on our Water Management Alliance schemes throughout East Norfolk. This comprises approximately 5-8 years for work constructing replacement Pumping Stations for the Internal Drainage Board across the region, which are primarily within Norfolk Broads covering the rivers Yare, Bure, Waveney and Upper Thurne.

  • You will be required to work out of our area office in Norwich and the project site offices as required.


  • Your mission

    You will be responsible for the following:
  • Client facing on a regular basis.

  • Attendance at the following meetings as contracts require: Progress, Design, Risk.

  • Liaison with the client's design partner.

  • Facilitation of liaison with supply chain partners.

  • Oversee commercial reporting across the ECI and Construction contracts.

  • Implement and maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety, environment & wellbeing.

  • Driven to reduce our carbon footprint.

  • Driven to improve social value across our projects.

  • Oversee monthly sustainability/social value/environmental reporting.


  • Who are we looking for?

  • Previous experience working with the Environment Agency or Internal Drainage Board.

  • Understanding and experience of mechanical, electrical & civil engineering.

  • NEC4 approved Project Manager accreditation is preferred.

  • Some understanding of MEICA schemes would be beneficial.

  • Detailed understanding of the NEC4 form of contract.

  • Experienced in leading a medium sized team - circa 20-30 people.

  • Experience of early contractor involvement phases followed by construction phases of schemes. Taking projects through their entire lifecycle.

  • Design development knowledge.

  • In depth understanding of HSEW.

  • Price development experience.

  • Bid management experience.

  • Commercial reporting experience.
